Then, the skins are drilled onto the lower rear spar. Unfortuunately, i got to terminate pre-maturely due to broken drilling bit no. #40. The rest of the day was spent packing smaller parts to be 'shipped' back Singapore. On 23 Feb 08, my dad helped me to dismantle the crate and moved the fuselage halves to a steel container. The cockpit cage was already moved there a day before. As a token of apppreciation for my dad's help, i listened to his advice not to bring back the smaller parts to Singapore.. I 'll be back for more!! Astalabista baby

Next, I drilled the lower outer and centre skin to the main ribs.

After checking the alignment, i proceed to drill the main skin to the lower front spar.

Note, the strut beam has been temporarily clecoed to the main frame.

The lower outer and centre skins are placed into position

22 Feb 08: Shown here is my new wrench tool kit bought from Singapore and anti-sabotage paste from US. The strut beam has been previously been torque wrenched at home.

As you may have noticed, i consistently checked the true alignment with my yellow reliable digital leveler.

Note: The upper part remained clecoed to the frame. Next, i drilled the centre part of the lower outer and centre leading edge.

Now, the main skins are removed and the whole left wing inverted upside down. Here, i strapped the leading edge with nylon 'string' and drilled it to the outer lower leading edge to the front spar.

Same goes to the centre leading edge. Mission accomplished!!

Finally, the trailing edge is drilled.

Stopping for a photo shoot.

Followed by the centre main skin...

Here , I drilled the outer main skin to the main rib.

Drilling the centre leading edge was a bit trickier due to spar cap underneath i.e. requiring an extended cleco which i did not have. I found another technique by clecoing some from the bottom.

Thumbs up for a job well done after lots of drilling.
